<dc:title>Indenture</dc:title>
<dc:description>between Dr William Griffith of Carreglwyd, Mary his wife, Dr George Griffith of Llanymynech [Bp. of St Asaph after the Restoration of 1600], John Griffith, M.A., rector of Llenfaethlu, and Hugh Griffith of Cae’rneithior - four brothers - and Dr Thomas Gwynn, Chancellor of the diocese of Llandaff; sale to T.G., for a consideration of £1,607.13.0., of certain gwelys in the township of Aberalaw, the mill appertaining and a large number of messuages and fee-farm rents in Dronwy and Bottan as well as Aberalaw; names of messuages seldom given, but tenants and under-tenants carefully described. On the dorse is a long memo. by Dr William Griffith that the fishing rights in the Alaw and at its mouth do not pass by this deed (for which he gives several reasons); there is also a long list of tenants who "attorned” to the new owner on 12 & 13 August, 1642</dc:description>
