<dc:title>Articles of arbitrament and award upon matters of variance between David ap Rees ap David ap Gwilym of Llwydiarth by Llannerchymedd and Rowland Bulkeley of Porthamel (27 June, 1560). </dc:title>
<dc:description>The arbiters were Roland Meyrick, Lord Bishop of Bangor [son of Meyrick ap Llewellyn of Bodorgan and father of the famous Sir Gelly Meyrick], Robert Evans, Dean of Bangor [he who had been deprived of his livings in the reign of Mary for breaking the laws of celibacy], Rice ap William and Richard Fletcher, registrar of Bishop Meyrick. The award was somewhat innocuous: it enjoined upon both the discontinuance of suits at law, one against the other, either before the Council of the Marches or elsewhere; in proof of this new friendship they were to appear at the Cathedral of Bangor on 7 July next ensuing, between the hours of 7 and 12 (in the forenoon) and give a glad right hand the one to the other. If any matters of difference will henceforth arise, it must be at once referred to the four arbiters aforesaid</dc:description>
