Assignment of judgement in the matter of the Porthamel debts to Maurice Lewis in trust for Richard, Lord Bulkeley; the original creditor was Anne Williams of Llannefydd, co. Denbigh, spinster [later of the city of Chester]; after obtaining judgement at Great Sessions, she assigned the debt to William Jones the younger of Pentraeth (5 Novr., 1717); on the dorse of this present assignment is a memo. that W.J. has received £174 (but £174.10.0. on the margin) from Lord Bulkeley The description on the dorse is "Assignment from John Jones to Mr Lewis", a mistake for William Jones. It is true that Dr John Jones, Dean of Bangor, was uncle to this younger William Jones, but he is not anywhere mentioned in the document 22 September 1722
