<dc:title>More trouble over Blaen y Llwyn in Llanfairfechan</dc:title>
<dc:description>this time between Sir Richerd Bulkeley [first] and William ap David ap Gwilym, clerk, parson of Llanfairfechan: the parson (according to Sir Richard) laid unlawful claim to two parcels of land which, it is true, lay within a tenement lawfully belonging to him, but which two parcels were part of an old inheritance of Sir Richard - the parson's claim was, therefore, upon a barren title and against all equity and right. However, of his own frank and free will, "haveinge a godlye remorse of constyens", Sir William ap David agrees (20 Sept.,1549) to surrender absolutely all his claims, and abjure all bargains he had made with a certain Richard ap Hoell ap Meredydd ap Gwilym (see accompanying document dated 11 Novr.,1529). There is also a release of 5 Octr., 1527, by which a parcel in Blaen y Llwyn Uchaf was lawfully released to the parson by a certain Robert ap Harry ap Thomas who on the previous day had it released to him by Richard ap Hoell. Later on (27 June,1551) the parson releases the Blaen Llwyn parcels lawfully belonging to him to David Lloyd ap Meredith and William ap John ap Ieuan in trust for the use of his son Hugh and his heirs by Katherine vch William ap David ap Ieuan; in default, to his sons John, Ellsse, and his daughter Gwenhwyfar; however, between Elisse and Gwenhwyfar came the claim of Hugh ap William ap David ap Gwilym, junior (who was he, since he would be Hugh ap Hugh ap William if he was a grandson of the parson?]. On the dorse is a proviso that the father was to enjoy the parcels during his natural life, yearly rent, four pence</dc:description>
