Deed of lease by Sir Richard Bulkeley [second] to Robert Gill, burgess of Caernapvon, upon a house late in the tenure of John Smith [who was also a smith by occupation] and a parcel of void ground adjoining; this house was very close to the town walls, for on the north side it abutted on "the staires and tower of the sayde Towne walles"; the lease included a close late in the tenure of Ieuan Coytmore, but the "okes and ashes" that grew within or about the close were reserved; 21 years at 18/- a year 22 June 1569
