Indenture by which Griffith ap Cadwaladr, Hugh Griffith and Edward Griffith, three brothers from the township of Elernion [Llanaelhaiarn] agree to levy a fine at Great Sessions within the term and space of ten years upon their lands in that township for the use and behoof of Henry Wynn ap William ap Humphrey of Nantlle and Henry Humphreys of Pwllheli. According to the Pedigrees (157) this Henry Wynn, although the Wynn is not usually associated with his name, was the son of William Humphrey of Pant Du by Llanllyfni, while Henry Humphreys was his uncle, living at Plas Tanrallt in Pwllheli. The consideration was £200. Very naturally, the Eifionydd element is very strong among the witnesses: Sir William Maurice of Clenennau heads the list and his son-in-law Ellis Brynkir comes third. The document was signed at a time of transition in the Brynkir nomenclature: the father is "Robt. Wynn Brynkyr", the son is Ellis Brynkir - the Wynn is dropped and the Y changed into i 10 December 1615
