Last will and testament of Thomas Williams of Dinas Bodelog in Llanwnda, brother of the second Sir William Williams of Vaynol; his widow Jane married Thomas Bulkeley of Beaumaris, one of the sons of Thomas, first Viscount Bulkeley Cites lease and releases of 20 June last past, and the uses and limitations therein appearing at large. All his land in Uwch Gwyrfai, Is Gwyrfai, and Arllechwedd Isaf [i.e., commote Issaphe] to his nephew Sir Griffith Williams of Vaynol [who married Penelope, daughter of Thomas, Viscount Bulkeley] on payment of £1,100 within one year of T.W.'s decease; all his lands during that one year (if G.W. pays the £1,100), and for a term of years if he did not, to his wife Jane and Robert Wynne of Llanidan [also of Plas Mawr, Conway] in trust to pay his debts and other charges; after the death of his wife Jane, then certain of his lands are to devolve upon G.W. [in any case]; in default of heirs to him, to John Williams of Ystumcolwyn [in Lower Montgomery] and his sons in succession; special bequest of a tenement in Isaf to John Thomas Wynne [who probably was one of the Wynnes of Melai, with whom the second baronet of Vaynol had intermarried]; several legacies to churches and the poor.
