Three papers - two being memorials (dated in 1876) to the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Sir Stafford Northcote) retailing at some length the history of Conway Bridge, its [old] contracts for carrying of mails, the coming of the railway, the growing population in the vicinity, &c., and strongly pleading for a reduction of tolls. Included is the Conway Bridge Act of 1878, "to vest …. the bridge in Commissioners, to provide for the maintenance and repair threreof, the reduction of the tolls, and for other purposes" 1876-1878
