"The Rent role Boocke [for Commote Isaf] for the halfe yeares Rent due at Lady Day 1661 wch was ye late joynture of dame Anne Bulkeley & of some other the lord Bulkeleys lands before 1661" Dame Anne Bulkeley was the widow of Sir Richard Bulkley [fourth], who afterwards married Sir Thomas Cheadle of Penmon, the marriage which led to protracted law-suits and to the fatal duel on Lavan Sands early in 1650.
