<dc:title>Letters from Dr Thomas Rees to a lifelong friend, the Rev. J.T.Rhys, minister (in 1918) of Rhyddings Congregational Church, Swansea, and later of Teddington, Middlesex. </dc:title>
<dc:description>The letters extend from 1895 to within a month or so of Thomas Rees's death (in London, 20 May 1926), and relate to the various phases of his career : his student days at Cardiff and Oxford, his tenure of the chair of Divinity at the Memorial College, Brecon (1899-1909), his appointment as Principal of Bala-Bangor College (April 1909) and to the various vicissitudes (including his persecution as an uncompromising pacifist and editor of Y Deyrnas during the 1914-18 war) of the remaining years of his life as a theologian, teacher, editor (Y Dysgedydd and Y Geiriadur Beiblaidd) and a family man.</dc:description>
