  <dc:description>He is usually known as Prytherch of Cerrig Gwyddel; he was married to Mary, daughter of William Griffith of Melin Bach, curate of Llangristiolus; and ended his days tragically by being drowned in the Abermenai ferry disaster of 5 December 1785 (see printed pedigree lists by his descendant, the late W. Prydderch Williams, p.3).
