Several of them discuss the etymology of the name Rhyl and the descent of the Lloyd family of Ty'n y Rhyl, of hwom Angharad Llwyd was such a prominent member. There are also some interesting references to Hugh Hughes of Lleiniog, father of the Rev. Edward Hughes, and to the speculation of the latter's contemporaries in Anglesey and Caernarvonshire as to his origins 1905-1906
