Reaction of the wreck of the "Royal Charter" on Moelfre rocks Legal opinion by Richard Garth of the Temple (1 November, 1859) on the possibility of Lord Boston's claiming the ownership of the wreck as owner of the sea-shore on which it lay - on the whole favourable, but advises thorough search into title-deeds, and the securing of oral evidence regarding his Lordship's ownership of the shore, and gives a warning that even if it is found that L.B is the undoubted owner of the sea-shore between high and low water mark, it does not at all follow he is entitled to wreck; however, once the ownership if the shore is thoroughly established, a jury would be very reluctant not to admit the corollary of the ownership of the wreck. A draft notice of such claim to the district Receiver of Wreck is enclosed 26 October 1859
