Release in fee with a deed of covenant for the production of title deeds, preceded by a lease under the Statute of Uses, by Pierce Wynne Yorke of Dyffryn Aled to the Rev. Edward Hughes of Kinmel Park Touching estates in the township of Meiriadog, parish of St. Asaph, co. Denbigh, which were once the lands of Yorke's mother, Diana Wynne, heiress of the old Wynne family of Dyffryn Aled. After many vicissitudes of settlements, fines, recoveries, and deaths the lands eventually fell to Pierce Wyn Yorke, who by this indenture conveys then to the father of Lord Dinorben for a consideration of £18,000. This transaction was completed only about five days before the death of the Rev. Edward Hughes. The indenture is supplemented by an excellent map of the properties referred to - Roe'r Cwm, Bryn Hen, Plas Newydd, Marli, Groesffordd, and Pentre - with detailed names of fields, and division into arable and wood land. 27 May 1815
