Draft defeasance to a Deed (Marriage Settlement), dated 25 July 1665, between the said Sir Griffith Williams (1) and Robert, Lord Bulkeley, Viscount Castiles in Ireland, of Baron Hill, co. Anglesey; the said Thomas Bulkeley of Dinas, Sir Roger Mostyn of Mostyn, kt. and bart., Piers Lloyd the younger of Lligwy, co. Anglesey, esq., and Richard Wynne of Branas, co. Merioneth, esq. (2), declaring that all the said Sir Griffith's messuages, lands and tenements in the parishes of Llanberis, Llanvairisgaer, Llanrug, Llanbeblicke and Llanllyfni, co. Caernarvon, shall from the making of the present Deed be and remain to the use of the said Thomas Bulkeley and his assigns for the term of 99 years, with Proviso that the said Sir Griffith Williams shall receive the rents and profits of the premises for 17 years after the date of this Deed if Jane, the wife of the said Thomas Bulkeley, shall so long live, and afterwards the premises are to be as security for Thomas Bulkeley so that he shall have quiet possesison of messuages and lands in the commote of Arllechwedd Isaf, co. Caernarvon, which belonged to Thomas Williams of Dinas Bedeloge, esq., lately deceased, and are now in the possession of the said Thomas Bulkeley, for the term of seven years after his decease.
