Five papers containing drawings of 18 inscribed stones, crosses and other monuments in South Wales forwarded by Edward Lhuyd to Bishop Humphrey Humphreys. One of the set of drawings (PEN/V/869) is referred to in his letter to Humphreys dated March 29, 1698/9 [See PEN/V/237]. PEN/V/869 also includes sketches of various fossils discovered at Caldey Island and Pyrton Passage on the Severn Shore; and presumably added by Lhuyd to his collection at the Ashmolean Museum n.d.
