A Used Cheque Book 1852-1853 This used cheque book contains the small left hand slips, the counterparts have been teared away. The slips make references to the reason of the payments, for instance there are payments for various work completed, and to name a few unusual entries are: ‘for Miss Pennant’s wardrobe', 'drain in the pantry’ and ‘soap cupboard’. 06 December 1852- 12 August 1853
