  <dc:description>This bundle includes various correspondence relating to the Broom Hall and Denbigh Estate in Jamaica. Examples of the various correspondents included are; Hores, Pattinson &amp; Bathurst, Geo. Mcgrath, J. H. Allwood, Barclay &amp; Co, H.A.Hore Esq, G. Muirhead and Mr Shortridge. The correspondence discusses the following topics; the renewal of the lease of Broom Hall; a boiler explosion at the Denbigh estate; the sugar plantation equipment and machinery; Lord Penrhyn’s bank accounts; incidents of trespass at Broom Hall and a proposed new main road to be placed through Lord Penrhyn’s property ‘Kupius’ which is followed by a relating plan. Other documents included are various accounts of Lord Penrhyn, and a ‘report on the Denbigh Estate, Kraal and Coates Pens December 1901’ prepared by H. E. Upton on 11 January 1902.</dc:description>
