Assignment of the Glasfryn Fawr mortgage of 3 May 1771 (TRALL/17) from Edward Griffith of Caernarvon to Hephzibah Williams of Conway, widow; the latter advances £700 to pay E.G. and an additional £100 to meet the "special occasions" of the Rev William Lloyd. On the dorse of the official assignment is the unmistakable hand of "T.Williams" as witness to various signatures, he being Thomas Williams the Llanidan attorney who became one of the most powerful factors in the development of the Mynydd Parys enterprises. 24 January 1774
