Letter from Mr. Bulcock, manager of Talacre Quarries, to Sir Herbert Lewis Is surprised and disappointed to hear that Cefn Stone will be used to construct the new University building, mostly because he was of the impression that the [Building] Committee had initially unanimously decided upon using Gwespyr stone [from Talacre]. They had already spent a large amount of money in readiness and fail to understand how the [Building] Committee could compare Talacre Stone with that of Cefn. He can only think that the Committee have gone for cheapness instead of quality. 16 November 1907
