| Disgrifiad | This folder includes various sale brochures by the Penrhyn Quarries Limited such as a brochure for the Architectural slate at Penrhyn Quarry, a brochure with the details for copings, cappings and floorings, 2 tickets to the Stone Industries Exhibition at the New Horticultural Hall in London between the 24-27 March 1969 and a leaflet for the opening of the New Slate Making and Architectural Departments at Penrhyn Quarry on the 09 June 1967. There is also a Danish brochure for Penrhyn Quarries Limited with notes. There are also two newspaper cuttings included in this folder. One of these is from the Daily Telegraph and Morning Post Monday January 11 1960, ‘Making the New Fit the Old. by John Betjeman Too Few Modern Buildings Harmonise with their Surroundings. A notable success in Oxford is described by our Architectural Correspondent’, the other is from the Liverpool Post Wednesday dated the 02 April 1958, titled, ‘‘60 Welsh Quarrymen Get Notice’. There are also two photographs from the Penrhyn Quarries Exhibition at the Royal Welsh Show in Bangor in 1958. |
