DisgrifiadAsks specific questions to aid him prepare an account of iron and coal workings in the parish of Ruabon for the "Wrexham Recorder" : enquires as to the "Waddock" furnace , one of only two furnaces (the other was at Ruabon) in co. Denbigh in 1740; the only other furnace the writer has heard of near Wrexham was the old one "in the Dingle below the Wire Mill"; wishes to know when this last was abandoned, and what happened to the old blowing cylinders when Bersham Works were pulled down and the Corn Mill put up instead; poses questions concerning the said Bersham furnace, Isaacc Wilkinson (of the same) and his patent for casting cannon in 1758, the dates of "blowing in" the furnaces of Acrefair, New Bridge, "The Ponkey", the Pant, etc.
