Gives a good description of her apartments at the Palace (outlook into Cleveland Row, Pall Mall and St. James St.); hopes John [M A's brother] will find "a good wife with a little Money and a good temper". "Our Apartments are very lively at this season [April 1830] ... and I enjoy the Gay scene very much from the sitting room Windows. I go from home but little, as I am quite amused with seeing the Carriages and Company in the Street pass and repass"; gossip of friends and relatives; has had a gift of a mourning ring. Hopes to see M A and J J in London soon; sorry to hear of M A's continuing trouble with teeth and face pains; the King, Queen and most of the nobility are in town [April 1831]; parliament was dissolved "this day" [22 April 1831] because of the failure to pass the Reform Bill - "many think they will never carry it through both Houses in its present forms". Gossip and re-iterated good wishes; requires M A to purchase stockings and gown for her servant (i.e. M Y's) Dinah; the cholera in London is easing off [27 April 1832].
