TitleBond of obligation in £60 by Owen Griffith ap Rees of the Bodidda hamlet of Castell [Arllechwedd Isaf] to allow Hugh ap John Ffoulk to enjoy and occupy a meadow containing two days' math of hay, "with the new ffary [ferry] way thereunto", in Bodidda.
Also, a release (7 February 1634-5) by the same O.G. ap Rees to his nephew John ap Griffith ap Rees of Gweirglodd y Cae Isa in Castell bounded on one side (east) by Afon Gyffin, on the west by Cae Isa itself, on the south by Gweirglodd Cae Howel [John Wynne, esq.], on the north by Gweirglodd y Saeson [Sir Roger Mostyn].
DescriptionOn the dorse is : "About Gweirglodd Saeson" [That is only correct in so far as Gweirglodd y Saeson is used to define the bounds of Gweirglodd y Cae Isa]

AdminHistoryPrevious to all this, on 18 January, 1607-8, O.G. ap Rees has mortgaged the same meadow to John ap Ieuan ap William of Bodidda for a consideration of £9, but it had very evidently been redeemed (PENRH/281).
