Description | The case turned on the exact bounds of the two parishes, on certain orders of Enclosure Commissioners, and on the memories of ancient inhabitants. Action commenced at the Great Sessions of Caernarvonshire, but the case was referred for arbitration . Indenture (30 Aug., 1820) to this effect drawn up between the parties, naming Jefferies Spranger as a competent lawyer to make an award. This was dated 10 Fevr., 1821, and decided pretty strongly in favour of Mr. Pennant. This dispute was hardly settled when a further disagreement started respecting the exact rights of pasture on ground between Marchlyn Mawr and Marchlyn Bach (see copy of Mr. Pennant's case and the opinion of counsel Henry Stephen, 21 Novr., 1822). Thirteen papers. Map. B.770. |
