b) Letter from Dunlop (slate agent) suggesting that the large quarry owners should combine to form a syndicate to be called 'The Welsh Slate Association', 29 December 1886
c) Correspondence from Mr William Dawbarn, slate agent, relating to reduced supply of slates he receives, 13 February 1879
d) Letter from J E Vincent relating to a proposed letter from Lord Penrhyn to The Times. Vincent highlights the fact that the letter could be seen as libellous and advises against proceeding. He states that 'The Wyatts I know nothing about , but I fancy it is common knowledge that until recently both the Penrhyn & Vaynol estates were regarded as plunder to be divided between its respectable vultures so long as the owners had some sort of income.', 31 Dec 1900

q) Letter from Lloyd Carter regarding the intervention of the board of trade. In a post script he mentions the 'private' meetings between him and W.J. Williams, which the men must not hear about. Also enclosed is a letter of support for Lord Penrhyn.
