Description | This envelope contains two letters, one from Mr.s S. Meredith Edwards, Yspytty Vicarage to Lord Penrhyn dated the 28th of December and a reply from Lord Penrhyn dated 08 January 1895. Mrs. Edwards, the wife of clergyman Mr.Edwards explains to Lord Penrhyn the reason why he has been summoned to be a witness for Mr.Edwards in court in relation to rumours being spread and published by a Mr. Williams. She states that she believes that Mr. Williams has poisoned the minds of Lord Penrhyn and Col West and asks how he has done this. She also goes on to explain the difficulties her husband has had to face as a result. Lord Penrhyn in his answer expresses his gratitude for Mrs. Edwards explanation and sympathises with her husband’s difficulties and gives and explains he has not received any expression from Mr. Williams of the sort. |
