| Description | This folder contains a collection of letters and documents between 1954 and 1961 relating to the Mineral Valuation of the Penrhyn Quarry business for Estate Duty after Hugh Napier Baron Penrhyn’s death. The collection includes many administrative letters and many discuss the correspondence with the Estate Duty Office, the valuation of the Penrhyn Quarry Business and the comparison between various mineral valuations. There are many pages of handwritten notes and figures for the mineral value at Penrhyn Quarry which includes comparative valuations.There are also many documents included in this folder which included a document called Penrhyn Quarries houses in Quarry Accounts on the 26th June 1949, Accountant figures and the Mineral Valuer’s figures, Notes on a meeting by Joicey Cecil for a meeting between Mr. Douglas-Pennant, Mrl.Carrington and Mr. Joicey Cecil on22nd September 1955, to consider Mr. R.T.Jones’ report of 26th August 1955, and another document titled ‘Penrhyn Quarry notes concerning the valuation of Business 20 July 1955’. |
