TitleAn envelope containing items from the Hon. H.N. Douglas-Pennant’s wallet
DescriptionOn the front of this envelope it is stated: ‘Taken from Lord Penrhyn’s wallet, which has been retained’. Included in this envelope is a members’ ticket for The Automobile Association and Motor Union, which is stated to be available from the 30 April 1921. There is a receipt from Chambers & Bright Ltd., who are automobile agents and engineers for work on a 192 Singer two seater car dated the 24 April 1920. There is also an invoice from the company, Leader & Co., Opera and Theatre Agents, for items purchased between 31 July 1919 and 22 September 1919. There are also two letters included in this envelope. One letter is dated 06 January 1920 addressed to the Field Marshal for the Horse Guards of Great Britain from the Lieutenant- General and Military Secretary of the War Office in London. This in letter discusses that Lieutenant. Hon. H.N. Douglas- Pennant is willing to join the Reserve of Officers and will be resigning from his commission in the 2nd Dragons with effect from the 01 February 1920. The other letter included in this envelope is a receipt that Lord Penrhyn has paid £150 for the fees of half year rent for R. Tanner of Lenhall, Bishopsbourne.
