Description | This bundle contains a letter from the the County of Caernarvon Offices dated 19 January 1946, regarding a Special Meeting of the Caernarvonshire Standing Joint Committee of Quarter Sessions and County Council to be held at the County Hall, Caernarvon, 11 January 1946. The Agenda follows the letter of which item three states the appointment of the Chief Constable. Attached to this letter is a copy of the minutes from this meeting of which the Right Honourable Lord Penrhyn is noted to be present as a member of the Justices. Under item 4 regarding the appointment of chief constable the committee has resolved to consider the applications received for the post. Copies of these 12 applications are also included in this bundle.
