Testator bequeaths his 175 acres of land in the parish fo St. Elizabeth purchased by his father of Mrs Vassell together with 10 negroes to his "loving cousin" Elizabeth Hodges. He also leaves his moiety of the plantation called Lacovia to Elizabeth Hodges. He bequeaths £450 to his "loving uncle" Thomas Hodges Esq., and a bill of exchange for £200 payable in London, drawn by Lt. Dodd from Jamaica; £40 and all his wearing apparel, furniture excepted, to his servant William Shaw; £100 due to testator on a note from Mr Henry Moore to his "loving cousin" Mrs Thomasine Hurnard; his library to his loving friend Albert D’laud of Grays Inne and £100 to Mr John George Cox (sic.) He leaves the residue of his personal estate to his uncle Thomas Hodges, his cousin John Hodges and Elizabeth Hodges, share and share alike and he also nominates them as his executors. |
