DescriptionConsists of accounts with various individuals for a variety of goods and services and slaves. Amongst the many individuals named and paid by John Shickle are George Leonard, Wharfinger at Salt River, Thomas Ludford, Blacksmith and Coppersmith, William Hughes formerly Bookeeper at Old Worksand. The latter pages of the document contains ‘A List of Negroes on Denbigh Old Works 31st December 1772’ and on the Denbigh New Works alongside livestock. The personal names of slaves are arranged according to occupation. Contains information with regards to the increase and decrease in the number of slaves.
