| Description | J.Francis showed the men a notice from Lord Penrhyn. Mr Assheton-Smith and Mr Davies did not think it strong enough. Francis defends the men, saying that they had not joined the strike, but when he discovered that they had got up a collection in support, he went to London to see Lord Penrhyn. The notices were posted at the quarry today, but Francis has not yet seen the result. |
