| Description | Bequeaths to his wife and her heirs all his estate in co. Suffolk, and the legacy of £1,000 "given by Mr. Juxon after Mrs Juxon's decease". Devises his land at Acton to his sister Hamilton for life, with remainder to her said daughter Sarah and her heirs, and in default of issue, with remainder to the children of his sister Bird. Devises his tenement in Trevorto Rebecca Kenrick the younger, daughter of his cousin John Kenrick. Devises to his servant Ellen Jeffreys at his wife's death, his tenement, lands and cottages in Dynhynlle ucha. Devises his present house (unspecified) and his tenement in Trevecan to his nephew John Ebden and his heirs, chargeable with a sum of £200 to be divided equally among his sister Kendal's children, and upon certain conditions. Names his wife Elizabeth sole executrix and residuary legatee.
A codicil dated 22 February 1714/5 is annexed, whereby the above devises of lands, etc, in Glyn Kyriog, Trevechan and Acton are annulled; niece Sarah Hamilton is to receive his present house, and the lands in Trevecan, "...provided she takes my wifes advise in her disposall of herself in marriage according to instructions left with my wife for that purpose"; if she does not, then the lands are to be sold and the proceeds to be divided among his sister Bird's children. His lands in Acton and Glyn Kyriog are to be sold, and the proceeds to be divided among the children of his sisters Kendal, Bird and Harris. |
