307 - Deed of Sale by William ap Llewelyn of Bangor, with the consent of Anian, Bishop of Bangor, to Hycheyl, Canon of Bangor, of one parcel of land at Roskelynen lying opposite the house called Y Gwas Coch Consideration : half a mark. Witnesses: David, Dean of Bangor; Iorwerth, priest and seneschal of Bangor; Adda ap Gwyon, Meurig, Meredydd ap Gronw Sais, Yorkyn Chwith, Adda ap David and his sons.
308 - Grant by Goronwy Goch ap Gruffydd ap Iorwerth to Dafydd ap Goronwy, burgess [sic.] of Bangor, of one "place" or burgage in the town of Bangor, which was granted to Ednyfed ap Ievan by G. [sic.], Archdeacon of Anglesey Fee farm rent : 4s.2d.
309 - Lease by Madoc ap David ap Iorwerth, free tenant of the Bishop of Bangor in the township of Crewyryon in the commote of Arllechwedd Uchaf, to Ievan ap Iago of one garden (?) in the said township lying between the "place" of Eignion ap Howel Penryn and a "place" of Cadawladt ap Ygwr Term : 4 years to 4 years Fine : 20s. Witnesses: David Hir of Bangor, Howel Vain, Madoc ap Bleddyn ap Heilyn, Howel ap Iorwerth Llwyd, Madoc ap David Bach. All Saints Day (Nov.1), 1375.
310 - Grant in fee farm by Marvred [Mererid, Margaret] verch Eignion Lloyd, free tenant of Maenol Bangor, to Gwenllian verch David, of the same, of her "place", late in the tenure of her father Eignion Lloyd, and lying near the orchard, late of David ap Owen, in the said township Rent : 2d. p.a. Monday after the Feast of All Saints (Novr.1), 1394.
311-312 - Grant by Gwenhwyfar and Gwenllian, daughters of Gwerfil verch Griffith ap Cynwrig ap Howel, free tenant of the township of Crewerion, commote of Arllechwedd Uchaf, to William ap Gruffith ap Gwilym and Joan, his wife, of all their lands and tenements in the aforesaid township, late the property of Cynwrig ap Howel. 314 - Grant by Lucy, wife of Griffith ap Ievan of Bangor, to her daughter Catherine, of one messuage in Bangor late in the tenure of Kenrick Ddu, and lying between the messuage of Efa verch Eignion and the messuage of Gruffith ap David ap Meredith.
315 - Lease by David ap Griffith Dew, free tenant of the Bishop of Bangor in the township of Tregwyrythion in Maynol Bangor, to David ap Elys ap David ap Iorwerth, free tenant of the same township, of a vacant plot of land called Pant Du in Tregwyrythion Term : 4 years renewable Annual rent : 6s.8d.
316 - Warrant by John Person, Archdeacon of Bangor, to William Gruffith, esq., to act as his attorney to superintend the collection of all rents and dues accruing to him.
317 - Demise in fee-farm by Sir William Griffith to Richard ap David Bangor, clericus, of a walled garden commonly called Gardd Dicus ap Ieuan Ddu lying between the house of Iorwerth ap Iockyn and the Dean of Bangor's garden, and one side of it abutting upon the highway Term : 100 years Rent : 12d p.a.
318 - Record of a licence, enrolled in the Sessions of Caernarvonshire, to Richard Peak, burgess of Conway, to purchase one tenement called Llwyn y Kynnagh in the township of Maynol Bangor; a parcel of land called Cae Pwll y Sach; and other lands called Y Gwasgardir extending from a place called Perth y Costrele to Garth Branar. 319 - Grant by Robert ap Madoc ap Llewelyn Vychan, free tenant of the Bishop of Bangor in the township of Abererch, commote of Dinllaen, to Richard Peak, burgess of Conway, of one tenement called Llwyn y Kynnagh lying in the township of Maynol Bangor, together with another parcel of land called Cae Pwll Ysaghe, and other lands called Y Gwasgardir extending from a place called Perth y Costrele to Garth Brane [or Branar].

322 - Grant by William ap Hugh ap Gronw ap Madoc ap Gwilym, free tenant of the Bishop of Bangor in the township of Llwydiarth [Lloydyayd], commote of Isgwyrfai, to Thomas Gronw, chaplain of the chantry of St. Catherine [Llanfaes] in the Cathedral Church of Bangor, of three parcels of arable land in the said township, of which one is called Cae Krown, and the other two lie near Y Garnedd Fechan in a place called Nant Lleog.
323 - Release by Llywelyn ap Meredith ap Madoc of the township of Gwyryddion to John ap Hoell ap Ieuan Ddu of all those lands descended to him (Llywelyn) after the death of Mallt vch Hoell ap Matto, situated in Bangor, and of the two messuages called Garth y Syrion and Tyddyn Du, lands which were once held in fee-farm by Hoell ap Matto ap Kenrick from John [Glynn], late Dean of Bangor. Morris ap Robert ap Madoc Vychan named as lawful attorney for the livery. 324 - Grant by William Coetmor, gent., David Moythey, clerk, and Rees Griffith, esq., to William Roberts, clerk, of one house called the Smithy House in Bangor 'together with a garden adjoining now in the tenure of Roger ap Gruffith ap Richard and extending in length from the corner of the said house to the orchard called Garth Cowte y Mêl; and a parcel of waste land extending in breadth from the Smithy House to the lands of Madoc Gloddaith now in the tenure of Nicholas Brickdale of Conway, and in length, from the King's highway leading towards Caernarvon, to the orchard called Garth Cowte y Mêl. Witnesses: Sir Humphrey Brikedale, vicar of Bangor, Richard ap William ap Llewelyn ap Goronwy, William ap Richard Lewis, John ap William ap Nicholas, Roger ap Gwilym, et al.
325 - Grant by William Coetmore, gent., David Moythey, clerk, and Rees Gruffith, esq., to William Roberts, Archdeacon of Merioneth, of one house or messuage, with a garden adjoining as far as a garden called Gardd Cwd y Mêl, lying between the house called the Smithie on the north side and a certain toft on the west side, now in the tenure of Nicholas Byrkdale, in the town of Bangor; also a quarter part of the mountain commonly called Rhan y Clafdy lying in the township of Trefgwyrythion, together with a parcel of meadow lying near the king's highway running towards Caernarvon from a tenement called Cae Maes y Dwn on the east side, and Y Bont Faen Isa on the west side; also a parcel of arable land which lies directly above the said highway, and which abuts towards the said road on the north side, towards the mountain on the south side, towards a certain close called Dryll y Crochan on the east side, and towards the land of Hugh Peak on the west side; the said parcel of arable land being lately in the tenure of Roger ap Gruffith ap Richard, and lying in the township of Trefgwyrthion Annual rent : 19s. Witnesses: Humphrey Brikedale, clerk, vicar of Bangor; Thomas Brikedale, chaplain; Richard ap Ievan ap Rees, Henry ap Llewelyn ap Eignion and Thomas Sadler.
326 - Demise in fee-farm by Rees Griffith, esq., to Roland Thickness, burgess and merchant of Beaumaris, upon Cae Treporth Isa in the township of Tregwyryddion, Maenol Bangor (in as large and ample a manner as Sir William Griffith [third] held it", or els Edward Gruff. esquyer, deceased did hold" [his son and brother of Rees], and upon a tenement in the same township bought of Morris ap Robert by R.G., and now in the tenure of William ap Rees ap David ap Elys, with its bounds marked by the sea (north), close called Pant Du (south), tenement of Griffith ap Gwilym ap Howell (east), another close of William ap Rees ap David (West) Annual rent, 23/4 Witnesses: David Moythey, clericus [canon of Bangor]; Michael ap Llywelyn ap Einion and Roland Thickness, vicar of Bangor.
327 - Demise in fee-farm by William Roberts, Archdeacon of Merioneth, to Griffith Johns (alias ap John ap Robert) of a toft called Murddyn Archiagon Meirionydd, a close called Y Cae Crwn belonging to it, lying between a house of Sir Rees Griffith (east), a garden of William Glyn, Sergeant at Arms to the Lord King (west), and bounded also by the highway to Caernarvon and a rivulet called Afon Tranan Annual rent : Twelve pence. Sanctioned by the Chapter, 10 Sept. Seals attached, in good preservation.
328 - Demise in fee-farm by Sir Rees Griffith to Richard Fletcher upon a house and garden in Bangor abutting upon the high street which leadeth to Porthaethwy (east), upon the north, on the ground and garden of Gardd Bryn yr Efail ("evaell"), and upon land already held by R.F. (south and west), now in the tenure of Ellen Stanley, widow Rent : 8/4 a year

332 - Demise in fee-farm by Sir Rees Griffith to Dominic ap William ap Griffith ap Iorwerth, yeoman, upon a house and lands called Tyddyn y Glath Bras, now in the hands of Thomas ap Ieuan ap Einion, in Tregwyryddion, Maenol Bangor Rent : 6/4 a year; presents and services (two geese at Christmas, two capons at Easter, a man to reap one day at harvest, one day of loading and carrying also at harvest)
333-334 - Eexemplification (two copies) of a release by Griffith ap John ap Richard ap Griffith to William ap David Lloydyn [Llwydyn] of a parcel of land called Dryll yr Arth, a meadow called Gweirglodd y Ffynnon between [other] land of W. ap D. and land of Edward Griffith [of Penrhyn] called Tir Kichley, and also his portion of an orchard called Y Berllan. They were situated in Tregwyryddion; the release was dated 10 Febr., 1538-9; the exemplification was made at the request of Hugh ap William ap David.
335 - Release by Hugh ap Richard ap William and Owen ap Tudur ap Einion, free tenants of the Lord Bishop and Chapter of Bangor in the township of Gwyryddion, to Morris ap William Vychan ap John ap William, clericus, and William ap Thomas ap Roland of the messuage and appurtenances of Ty Hen. One of the witnesses - "John ap Ieuan Delynior".
336 - List of feoffments, leases and fee-farms, mainly in Tregwyryddion, Maenol Bangor, with names of lessees, yearly rents and services (in some cases only). Some interesting names, such as Tir y Deg Ceiniog, Gwern y Bont Faen, Tyddyn Hwlcyn, Tyddyn Einion Llwyd, &c. No date, but certainly in the days of Sir Rees Griffith,circa 1570. The fee farm to Dominic ap William (1561) is referred to (cp.doct. PENRH/332).
337-339 - Receipt (1 May, 1576) by the vicars-choral of Bangor to Edward, son of Sir Rees Griffith, for 1/4 due to him as rent for Gored y Gut Easter 1576, and letter from Rowland Meyrick, Bp. of Bangor (20 June, 1564) to Sir Rees Griffith giving the latter licence "to take processe of the Lawes Ecclesiasticall .... as more at large I have openyd to this berer my chaplen and yor verey earnest ffrend allwayes David Moythey" [one of the canons of Bangor]. Also, a document in modern script referring to these two original documents
340-341 - Release by bargain and sale by Evan ap Robert Banwr, Lucy vch David ap Meredith his wife, and Elen vch David ap Meredith, to Roland Thickness, clericus [vicar of Bangor since 1542] of a messuage and garden in Bangor lying between the lands of Sir Rees Griffith (east) of Morris ap Robert (west), and between the highway leading from Aber Cegin to Caernarvon (north) and "a place called Mynydd Bangor".
342-343 - Acquittance by Edward Gruffith [of] "Cowrnwey", deputy steward of the Bishop of Bangor, to Robert ap William Vychan, son and heir of William Vychan ap John ap William, deceased, late free tenant of the Bishop's township of Llwydit in the manor of Maynol Bangor, for the sum of 5s.4d. paid as a relief on the death of the said William his father. 346 - Release by Margaret vch John ap Ieuan ap Tyder, widow of Hugh ap William ap David Lloydyn, to her [son] John ap Hugh ap William ap David of all her claims to the third part of Ty Hen, Cae Bychan, Cae yr Ywen Ddu, Dryll y Groes, Y Pant Hir, Bryn y Garnedd, Dryll yr Ardd a'r Pren Du, Bryn Dafydd Foel, Nant Bech, with two parcels of land in Maes y Ceirch, all in the township of Gwyrhyddion in Maenol Bangor. Seven witnesses
347 - Deed of enfeoffment in trust by John ap Hugh ap William ap David Lloydyn.
348-351 - Bond of obligation in £40 by John ap Hugh ap William ap David of Tregwyrhyddion to Thomas Fletcher of Bangor, that the latter shall peacefully enjoy an occupy the messuages of Ty Hen and its appurtenant lands in Gwyrhyddion.
352-354 - Release with a bond of obligation in £200 by Richard Williams alias Richard ap William ap David Lloydyn of any claim, title, or interest in Ty Hen, township of Tregwyryddion [uncle to John ap Hugh ap William, PENRH/346-351].
355 - Acknowledgement by Richard Williams, here described as "one of the Butlers servinge and attendant in the College of Christ Church in Oxon." of having recieved 20/- from Piers Griffith in part payment of the £26 due to him upon the Feast of All Saints in 1590,as per bond of 14 May. [This bond of 14 May is not extant; PENRH/352-354 are dated 25 May]
356 - Grant and confirmation by John ap Morris ap Robert of the township of Gwyryddion to Jane Price and William Robinson, of the annual fee-farm rent of 5/- arising from the tenement of Tyddyn Robert ap Iorwent in Gwyryddion.
357 - Release by Margaret vch Dafydd ap Llewelyn to Arthur Martin of Bangor of Y Murddyn wrth Borth y Fynachlog and Perllen Cae Du in Tregwyryddion. Eight witnesses, of whom one was John Martin, clericus, no doubt a close relative of Arthur Martin.
358-359 - Deed of mortgage by Piers Griffith to William Griffith his brother, upon the tenement in Bangor held by Richard ap William Thomas, also Tyddyn y Ty Du, Gwern y Chamberlain, a tenement in the tenure of Margaret vch Griffith, late wife of Thomas Bangor [for a family of this name, see pedigrees, 166, 386], Tyddyn Mab yr Oen, Tyddyn Mab y Saer, two parcels called Parsel Bedo and Parsel o Dyddyn William Parry, and a messuage held by Edward Glover - all in Bangor and Maenol Bangor Consideration : £100 Redemption within sixty years. There is a second copy of the mortgage with the attornment of tenants on the dorse.
360-372 - Bundle of writs to the Sheriff of Caernarvon enjoining him to grant quiet possession to Piers Griffith of Penrhyn of lands recovered by him in the Great Sessions of Caernarvon. 9 October 1598, against divers persons in the townships of Bangor, Maynol Bangor, and Tregwyrythion.
373 - Deed of lease by Piers Griffith, of Penrhyn, to Griffith Fletcher of Cororion and Katherine his wife upon the messuages of Tyddyn Llwydin ("lloydin"), Cae Cichle, and Bryniay Dafydd Foel, in the township of Tregwyryddion. Term : natural life of Katherine at an annual rent of 1/-. If G.F. wishes to extend the term of the lease to cover his own life, if he happen to survive Katherine, he must pay a consideration of 20 marks (and within three years of the above date) and a further yearly rate of twelve pence.
374-375 - Two memoranda regarding the lands of Hugh ap William ap David drafted by Thomas Fletcher for the use of Piers Griffith of Penrhyn.
376 - Exemplification of a recovery in the Great Sessions of Caernarvonshire, 9 July 1593, by Piers Griffith, Esq. (of Penrhyn) against Richard ap John ap Madoc of 4 messuages, 4 tofts, 3 gardens, 60 acres of land, 20 acres of meadow, 60 acres of pasture, 6 acres of wood and 20 acres of turbary in Crewedog granted by William Coetmor and David Moythey, chaplain to Sir Rees Griffith and his heirs.
377 - Deed of lease to John Evans and Catherine Dominick his wife of a tenement upon "Bangor hilles" already held by J.E., but excepting Caelletpai [Caellepa] from the lease Term : natural lives of Catherine and Edmund ap John, her son, and the longest liver of them Rent : 8/- a year
378 - Indenture by which arrangements were agreed upon between Piers Griffith and Henry [Rowlands], Lord Bp. of Bangor to suffer a common recovery with double voucher upon lands held by the Bishop of P.G. in Tregwyryddion and Cororion, including Nantporth which adjoined (north part) the fishery of Porth Eswgob and (south part) a ffridd in the tenure of David ap Rees and John William ap Edward.
