1163-1165 - Deed of lease (3 April, 1772) by William Williams of Llannerchymedd, apothecary, to Richard Jones of Abercegin, parish of Llandegai, yeoman, upon the messuages of Ty'nyffridd and Hendai, parish of Bangor; 21 years, at £80 a year. Later, the Rev. Henry Williams of Pentir [son, presumably, of W.W.] mortgaged the property for £400 to the lawyer Samuel Grindley of Tregarnedd (26 Sept.,1795); then follow (17 Sept., 1825) the letters of administration de bonis non upon the property of S.G., deceased.
1166 - Deed of lease (12 January, 1784) by Richard, Lord Penrhyn, to the Reverend John Kyffin, clerk, of Friars, co. Caernarvon, upon the messuage or dwellingphouse in the city of Bangor, lately in the possession of Mr. Thomas Lloyd, organist, since deceased; term, natural lives of Kyffin's wife Anne, their daughter Mary (aged 5), their son John (aged 3), and of the longest liver of them, plus 21 years succeeding the death of the latest survivor; annual rent, £4.4.0.
1167 - Lease (12 Nov., 1793) by Richard, Lord Penrhyn, to William Jackson, Innkeeper, upon MINFORDD in the parish of Bangor; two lives (William Jackson, age 46; Elizabeth Jackson, daughter, age 18); annual rent, £38.
1168-1170 - "Lease of a House and Garden in Bangor... for the lives of the Lessee and her som (the latter being a fresh life nominated on the death of a life in a former Lease of the said premises ...." (11 Febr., 1812). The former lease was granted on 12 Nov., 1789, by Richard, Lord Penrhyn, to Hugh Jones, surgeon, and Catherine his wife during their natural lives and that of the longest liver, "and for such other life as might thereafter be nominated by the said Hugh and Catherine or their assigns"; new life nominatedm John, son of Hugh and Catherine; surrender of former lease; annual rent, £3.3.0; new term, natural lives of Catherine and John and the longest liver of them. New lease made in the name of Anne Susannah, Baroness Penrhyn [widow of the first Lord Penrhyn, daughter of General Hugh Warburton] and G.H. Dawkins Pennant, devisee in fee by the will of Lord Penrhyn.
1171 - Deed of lease (24 April, 1816) by G.H. Dawkins Pennant to John Roberts of Bangor, gentleman, upon Cae Pen y Chwintan, Gweirglodd Pont Fain, and Llain, parish of Bangor; 14 years; annual rent, £44.2.0. A part of the land adjoining, also held by John Roberts, is referred to as "lately called Tyddyn yr Order but now by the name of Glanadda".
1172 - Assignments of the lease on a plot or field, parcel of Cae Bach in Hirael, parish of Bangor: original lease (2 Oct., 1806) by the Lord Bishop of Bangor [Dr. William Cleaver] to John Roberts of Bangor, gentleman, for three lives; assignment on 11 March, 1809, to Edward Griffith Roberts of Caernarvon, who was to hold it in trust for the aforesaid J.R. and Thomas Jones of Bryntirion; then on 13 Nov., 1820, these two assign the interest to Thomas Towers of Hirael, yeoman, for the purpose of erecting an iron-foundry there; references to a warehouse that J.R. had built and to the quay "now erected and built at Hirael". Term, 12 years; annual rent, £10.
1173 - Deed of lease (25 March, 1822) by G.H. Dawkins Pennant, esq., to Robert Thomas of Aber Cegin in Llandegai, upon the messuage of Tyddyn Llwydyn (42 acres) and Pant Goldiog fields (26 acres), all in the parish of Bangor; 14 years; £100 a year; particular provisions about drainage, fences, and roads.
