The online catalogue contains collection and item level descriptions of our holdings.
The Archives and Special Collections can be divided into three groups. They are the:
- University Records
- General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts (which contains over 40,000 items)
- Special Collections (over 80) which vary in nature, from estate and personal papers to the papers of solicitors and clubs.
Our holdings are also listed on the Archives Hub web site https://archiveshub.jisc.ac.uk
The Library book catalogue is separate from the archives catalogue. If you wish to search for rare books please use the University of Bangor Library catalogue. http://www.bangor.ac.uk/library

What is in the catalogue ?
At present this online catalogue includes over 56 of our Special Collections. There is a summary of the content of each collection as well as historical information about their background. Every item within these collections is also described.
However, please remember that the catalogue is very much a work in progress. Although new data is added on a regular basis, information about some of our collection is not yet available here.
